Customer forms
Customer forms are public forms your workspace designs to collect requests from people who are not signed in. A typical form asks for a name and phone number. A booking request can also ask for a time and a branch.
Each submission becomes a record. Your team triages it in Joy One, links it to a customer, and can create a booking from it.
This is separate from the customer profile. The form is the public intake. The customer record is what your team keeps after the request is accepted.

Open Customer forms
Members who manage forms create the form, choose the fields, and publish it.
Copy the public link or QR
Guests open the link or scan the QR. They do not need a Joy One account.
Optional: call the form from your website
Each form has a public token. You can require a secret header, and you can limit which websites are allowed to submit.
What happens after a submission
| Step | Who does it |
|---|---|
| Record is created | The guest, by submitting the form |
| Customer is created or linked | Joy One, when the submission has a valid name and phone — or a member, manually |
| Booking is created | A member, from the record. Joy One does not create the booking by itself |
| Status is updated | A member working the queue |
Spam protection uses rate limits, a honeypot field, allowed origins, and an idempotency key. There is no captcha in the current form.
Permissions
Viewing records and managing forms are separate permissions. A member can be allowed to work the inbox of submissions without being allowed to redesign the form.
