Labs

Labs tracks dental lab cases for the clinic: which case was sent, which one came back and is not seated yet, how many remakes you have, and how much you still owe each lab.

The lab does not sign in to Joy One. Your team owns the case, prints it or sends a read-only link, and tracks the money with receipts.

A lab is a partner of type Dental lab. There is no separate lab directory.

A case

A case belongs to a customer and a visit. The due date is typed on that case. Joy One does not invent a due date from a default turnaround.

StatusMeaning
DraftNot sent yet
In labSent to the lab. Can still be cancelled
ReceivedBack from the lab, not seated
DeliveredSeated or handed to the patient
CancelledStopped from draft or in lab

A remake is a new case that points at the original. It is not an extra status on the old case.

From the visit

The visit header has a Lab cases menu for cases on that visit. Open one, or create a case with the patient, dentist, and teeth already filled in.

Money

The case does not store a price or a balance. Deposits, final payments, and remake adjustments are expense receipts linked to the case and the lab. The Labs tab reads those receipts. Archived receipts are ignored.

Creating that expense needs permission to create receipts. Joy One does not email debt reminders. Watch the receipt status and the totals on the Labs tab.
