Receipts
Receipts records money coming in and money going out. The left menu label is Receipts. This is the cash record. Tax invoices are a separate module: E-Invoices.
An income receipt stores a positive amount. An expense receipt stores a negative amount. New receipts start as Pending unless you mark them paid at creation.

Choose income or expense
Income is money you receive. Expense is money you pay, including supplier bills and lab bills.

You can leave it pending, or mark it paid and choose the payment method.
Paying and paying out
| Action | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Pay | Mark a pending receipt as paid, with method, cashier, and the amount the customer handed over |
| Disburse | Pay out an expense and record who handed over the money |
| Partial payment | Split an income receipt into the part already collected and the part still due |
| Revert payment | Move a paid receipt back to pending |
Partial payment archives the original income receipt and keeps the collected part and the remaining part as two receipts. Revert is only available while the receipt is paid.
Receipts created from funding cannot be edited with the normal receipt form.
Where receipts come from
- A payment on an order or a ticket
- An expense you create yourself, or from a partner page
- A lab case in Labs
- A manual stock-in in Stocks, which can attach several expense receipts to one intake
Paying or archiving a stock receipt does not change the quantity on hand.
On the receipt page
The page shows the status and amount first. Customer, cashier, and the person who disbursed the money are named in the payment details. Comments are not used on receipts. The activity list is a system timeline only.
The list can filter by code, status, type, payment, customer, partner, tags, and time. When Labs is enabled, a Lab column can filter by lab partner.
