Prescriptions
Prescriptions stores reusable medication templates: a name, a note, and lines for each medicine. Each line has a morning, noon, afternoon, and evening dose, a number of days, and a usage note.
The module is on by default for dental and clinic workspaces. Other workspaces can turn it on from workspace functions. The list is for the whole workspace, not one branch.
These are templates. Printing uses the template you have open. It does not pull in a patient name, and it is not filed onto a visit. The visit screen does not currently show an issued prescription.
Save a template
Open Prescriptions
Click Prescriptions in the left menu.
Add medicines
You can pick a product as the starting point for a line, then edit the dose. Lines with no name are dropped when you save.
Print the open template on A5 or A4. The printout shows each time-of-day dose and the total quantity for the full course.
Opening a template records that someone used it. That timestamp is not a clinical signature, and Joy One does not keep a history of printouts.
Writing templates requires the prescriptions write permission. Searching matches the template name and note.
