Medical visits
Medical visits is the clinical chart module for dental and clinic workspaces. The left menu label is Medical visits, and its list page shows visits.
Two records are kept separate:
| Record | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Medical record | One chart per patient for the whole workspace, including admin data, history, allergies, and the current tooth chart |
| Visit | One clinical note each time the patient comes in |
A patient can have visits at more than one branch. The chart itself is shared across the workspace.
The visit comes first. The service ticket hangs off the visit. A consult with no charge is still a valid visit: it does not need a ticket. The usual paid path is Customer → Visit → one service ticket → Receipt.
Open a chart
Find the patient
Open Medical visits from the menu, or start from the customer. Each customer has at most one chart in the workspace.
Add a visit
Record the clinical note for this appointment. The visit header can open lab cases for this visit and can print the chart forms.
Sign
A practitioner signs the visit. An assistant can co-sign when they are assigned to the visit and have the assistant-sign permission. Signing uses the member’s own PIN.
Amend
A signed visit is corrected by an amendment, not by silently rewriting the signed note.
The medical record lives in the customer page and has no page of its own. The patient link in a visit’s breadcrumb opens the customer page, and closing it returns you to the visit you opened.
From the visit you can print the prepared clinical forms, the service ticket, and the supply sheet when the ticket used stock. Create print form at the bottom of that menu saves an editable copy. See Print forms. Editing that copy does not change the chart or the ticket.
Prescriptions inside the visit are not shown in the current visit screen. Reusable medication templates live in Prescriptions.
